If your water smells like rotten eggs, the most likely cause is Hydrogen Sulfide. Hydrogen Sulfide is very common and not a hazard to your health. It is a good idea to test your water to rule out other causes of taste and odor issues, such as bacteria and manganese, before installing treatment.
